Richard George West Age 66 MBA; BSc; CEng; FIMC; MCIM; MRAeS Originally an aeronautical engineer at Rolls-Royce, Dick West's career has included Venture Capital, Industrial management, and the operation of West & Company since 1983 in Partnership with his wife Jane. Recent experiences include start-up businesses employing High Technology processes and products, and business development projects for clients in the UK, Europe, Middle East, South East Asia, and American markets. Main Interests: Identifying market opportunities for technical products; developing world class products to meet market needs; building businesses and management teams to exploit new and emerging technology developments.

Basil Philipsz Age 60 PhD, MSc, BSc, CEng, FBCS, MIMC Basil has been running his own software development business in Blackburn, DMS Limited, for the last 20 years, and has been working on client projects with West & Company for more than 10 years. His early career in the computer industry lead him to be the European Commercial Planning Manager at Digital Equipment Corporation before he was 30. He holds patents in software security, and has a very wide experience of IT systems and applications. Main Interests: Encryption, tokens, smartcards, key management techniques, for the internet.
