Richard ("Dick") West
Dick had an early career in aeronautical engineering at Rolls Royce, followed by Charterhouse Group during the formative years of Venture Capital in the City of London. He returned to running manufacturing companies, leading to his appointment as the CEO at a major bus and coach plc in Blackpool. Dick subsequently formed West & Company and has built the business with a strong international consultancy reputation. Dick holds an engineering degree from London University, an MBA from Manchester Business School, and is a Director of technology companies in NW England.
Basil Philipsz
Basil and Dick have been sharing projects for 25 years. Basil was awarded his PhD in pure maths aged 23 at Manchester University and followed a career in the computer industry, leading him to be the European Commercial Planning Manager at DEC before he was 30 based in Geneva. He has since run DMS Limited in Blackburn, his own company, for more than 30 years: DMS has developed the unique CASQUE access security technology that has both USA and EU patents; is approved by GCHQ/CESG for "secret and above" applications; is NATO approved; and is in long-term 24/7 operation.
Jerome Rush
Originally from Canada, with a Harvard degree in Economics, Jerome is a London-based serial entrepreneur with in-depth operational and management experience having founded, developed and achieved successful exits from businesses in restaurant/leisure, IT and manufacturing sectors. His IT projects have included a high-speed, non-indexed search engine that became part of the "paperless office" suite at a major US company; collaborative working and interactive customer support products; and video products for embedding into websites.
Reinier Mommaal
Reinier is a successful entrepreneur based in the Netherlands, having founded a substantial technology company where he developed new products, before moving on to establish his own incubator facility at Weesp, near Amsterdam, to help and encourage other new businesses. Reinier holds degrees in Electronics and Business and has a wide range of technical interests from telecoms to textiles, and houseboats to restaurants. He is an active technology investor and is a Director of companies in the Netherlands.
